Week 1 taught us something. The ratings are useful. The predictions are fun.
But once the ball starts flying... things get weird.

We picked 7 of 9 winners correctly last week, giving our prediction desk a respectable 77.8% success rate. Basically 80%. We're calling that a win. 😂 But now we have something we didn't have before: Actual evidence. And suddenly Week 2 gets very interesting.

☠️ KOP RIETONDALE 2: ARE THEY THE REAL DEAL? KOP Rietondale 2 are quietly becoming a problem. They opened the season with a 7–5 win over U-Pro Padel Atterbury and have now backed it up with an 11–5 victory. Two games. Two wins. And suddenly this isn't looking like a lucky start. KOP Rietondale 2 are a team to watch. 👀 Now they face WRC 3. We're expecting another strong home performance. 🔮 KOP RIETONDALE 2 14–2 WRC 3 But after what we've seen so far, we're starting to wonder whether KOP 2 might be more than just a team benefiting from home advantage. They might be one of the Eastern Conference teams nobody wants to draw later in the season.

💣 THRASHERS vs U-PRO This is one of the big ones. Thrashers came into the season as one of our early favourites and delivered in Week 1, beating Tenrounds 12–4. But there was an interesting twist. Dino Pavlou didn't play. Instead, Rynhard stepped in and absolutely delivered. And here's the problem for U-Pro: Rynhard is standing in again. 👀 So while everyone was expecting to see the return of Dino, U-Pro now has to prepare for the guy who walked into the lineup and immediately looked very comfortable. Then you've got the rest of the Thrashers squad, including the very dangerous Andreas Lendowsky. U-Pro Padel Atterbury have just come off an 11–5 loss to KOP Rietondale 2, so they'll be looking for a serious response. We're backing the home side. 🔮 THRASHERS 15–1 U-PRO Bold? Yes. But we said 15–1 for U-Pro Invitational last week too... And look what happened. 😂

🔥 LIV vs PROACTIVE WINGATE This is arguably the biggest game in the Southern Conference. LIV opened their campaign with a very convincing: 12–4 They showed good depth across the categories and made the most of home advantage. But then there's Proactive Wingate. We learned about them the hard way last week. We predicted 8–8 against Padel Parq A. They responded with: 15–1. So yes... We're paying attention now. This is no longer "LIV are favourites at home." This is: The Week 1 powerhouse vs the team that absolutely destroyed our prediction. And this time we're giving Proactive the edge. 🔮 LIV 6–10 PROACTIVE WINGATE Can Proactive back up the 15–1? Or was Week 1 just one very, very good night? Thursday will tell us.

⚔️ TEAM APEX vs KOP RIETONDALE 1 We picked Team Apex to beat WRC 1 last week. They did. 9–7. And their Men's Open pairing of Alex Papageorgiou + Damian Schlebusch was outstanding: 6–0, 6–2, 6–1. That's a statement. But WRC 1 also showed that they're no pushovers, particularly with their Ladies Open performance and the incredibly tight Beginner match. Now Team Apex face another serious Northern opponent: KOP Rietondale 1. Corne Prinsloo and Lorenzo Visentin bring plenty of quality. We're struggling to separate these two. 🔮 TEAM APEX 8–8 KOP RIETONDALE 1 Another draw prediction. What could possibly go wrong? 😂

🐎 THE DARK HORSE GETS ANOTHER SHOT U-Pro Invitational vs Padel Parq Kimiad A We called Padel Parq Kimiad A our Men's Open dark horse before the season. Then Proactive Wingate promptly handed them a 15–1 defeat. That's not exactly how we drew it up. But dark horses don't disappear after one bad week. Now Stuart + Mark get the ultimate test: Egmond + Jacques. Egmond is still the 7.00-rated monster. And Jacques? Well... Which Jacques is turning up? If it's the good one, this could be a very difficult afternoon. But if Stuart and Mark can find the form that made us call them a dark horse in the first place, the Men's Open match could be fascinating. 🔮 U-PRO INVITATIONAL 11–5 PADEL PARQ KIMIAD A We're backing U-Pro overall. But we're watching that Open match very closely.

🍩 MK PADEL vs TENROUNDS Tenrounds had a rough opening week against Thrashers. 4–12. Now they face MK Padel. And MK will have something to prove too. They won their Week 1 fixture 13–3, but Padel Parq Kimiad B managed to take the Men's Open 2–1. So MK know they're not invincible. Tenrounds know they need a response. 🔮 MK PADEL 7–9 TENROUNDS Yes. We're going against the obvious momentum here. 🚨 UPSET ALERT. Tenrounds need a response, and this could be the week they get it.

👀 WRC 3: THE UNKNOWN QUANTITY WRC 3 didn't play in Week 1. So while everyone else has already had their first taste of SAPL pressure... WRC 3 have been sitting quietly watching. Now they walk into KOP Rietondale 2, who have already shown they can beat U-Pro Atterbury. KOP have momentum. WRC 3 have fresh legs. And absolutely no Week 1 result to tell us what they're really capable of. We're backing the home team. 🔮 KOP RIETONDALE 2 14–2 WRC 3 But this is one where the ratings might tell us more after Thursday.

⚡ WRC 4 vs BANTER BANDITS WRC 4 didn't get the start they wanted, going down 12–4 to LIV. Banter Bandits didn't play in Week 1. So this is almost a reset. One team desperate to bounce back. One team desperate to announce themselves. 🔮 WRC 4 6–10 BANTER BANDITS We're giving Banter the edge. And if their Men's Open pairing of Luca + Edwin can produce the kind of performance we expected from them before the season... This could get interesting.
