🎾 Week 4 Predictions: The Stakes Are Rising

Three weeks down and we're starting to get a much clearer picture of who is actually dangerous. The Donut Factory is working overtime. Some teams are cruising. Some are hanging around waiting for their big breakthrough. And then there are a few fixtures this week where absolutely nobody knows what's going to happen. Let's get into it. 🎾🔥 ________________________________________ 🟢 EASTERN CONFERENCE ⚔️ PADEL PARQ B vs TENROUNDS Prediction: Tenrounds 10–6 This could be one of the hardest fixtures of the week to call. There isn't a single category where we look at the matchup and think, "Yep, that's an easy one." Every single game looks competitive.

And then we got a little birdie telling us that Mr Unorthodox himself, Charl, is stepping in for Team Captain Ryan. The Net has done Charl extremely well and taken his game to another level, but there's one small problem... The two guys standing across the net from him know his game better than almost anyone. 👀

Then there's the Ladies Open. Lee & Hillary vs Marijke & Elsa. This could genuinely be the deciding category. Will Elsa go absolutely guns blazing? Or will she feel just a little too bad about destroying her opposition and start playing soft? 😂 We also know from the Springboks that having your captain around can make a massive difference.

So we're backing Tenrounds 10–6. But this one could easily turn into a 9–7, 8–8 or complete prediction disaster. ________________________________________ 🔥 MK PADEL vs KOP RIETONDALE 2 Prediction: MK Padel 12–4 This is a tough one for KOP2. They've shown plenty of quality this season, but MK are still one of the most consistent teams in the competition. KOP2 will be hoping Adelle & Bianca can once again deliver in Ladies Open. They've shown fantastic form and could definitely steal another category here.

And then there's the wildcard nobody talks about enough... George. Not necessarily because of his padel technique. Because of the constant talking, banter and general psychological warfare. 😂 Will George talk MK into submission? Will MK eventually put their rackets down and ask him to please just be quiet for five minutes?

We predict MK have too much across the four categories. MK Padel 12–4. ________________________________________ 💀 WRC 3 vs THRASHERS Prediction: Thrashers 16–0 If WRC 3 manage to take even a single set here, we'll be genuinely surprised. Thrashers have been absolutely relentless, and now they get another boost: DINO IS BACK. And that means Andreas & Dino are back together in Men's Open. That is very bad news for WRC 3. 😬 The obvious question is whether Cesare & Jaco can somehow sneak a set against Dylan & Matthew in Beginner. That's probably the category where WRC 3 have their best chance of putting something on the board.

But we're not brave enough to go against the machine. Thrashers 16–0. Yes, we're predicting the clean sweep. ________________________________________ 🔵 NORTHERN CONFERENCE 🚀 TEAM APEX vs RALLY REBELS Prediction: Team Apex 13–3 Damian is back. And that means Alex & Damian are reunited in Men's Open. We wouldn't be surprised to see a couple more donuts coming out of that court. 🍩

But the really interesting part for us is Ladies Open. Savanna & Cheree were fantastic last week, and if they can carry that form into Week 4, Team Apex suddenly becomes extremely difficult to beat across all four categories.

Then you've got Armand & Louis continuing to look dangerous in Intermediate.

Team Apex are starting to look less like a team with a couple of good pairings and more like a team that can score heavily everywhere. We're going 13–3 Team Apex. ________________________________________ 🏔️ SKYe vs KOP RIETONDALE 1 Prediction: KOP 1 12–4 Now this one could be interesting. We haven't really seen the full potential of SKYe yet, and this is their first home game. They're also one of the teams travelling the furthest, so maybe there really is something to that old saying... "It's warmer on that side of the mountain." 😂 Could home conditions produce a couple of upsets?

But KOP 1 should still have too much firepower across the four categories.

But we're backing KOP to take it: 12–4. ________________________________________ 🏴‍☠️ PADEL PATROL vs WRC 2 Prediction: Padel Patrol 10–6 Hold your horses. We're going against the grain here. WRC 2 are sitting 3rd on the log, while Padel Patrol are sitting 4th. On paper, WRC 2 should probably be the safer pick. We're not doing that.

We think this is the week Padel Patrol let loose.

The Fisher brothers, Adrien & Cameron, have been absolutely flying in Intermediate and we're expecting another win from them. Then you've got Zestian & Conré, who have also been playing some very good padel.

But standing in their way is Sean, affectionately known as the daddy of Pretoria padel. 😅 The real question is whether Padel Patrol's other categories decide to join the party. Their Men's Open and Intermediate sides have been doing the heavy lifting, while Beginner and Ladies have had a tougher time.

If those two categories finally click at the same time... Watch out. It's a bit like a half-sunken ship at the moment. The driver works. The irons work. The putter works. But they've never quite all worked on the same day. If they suddenly do?

They could cause serious havoc. We're taking the gamble: Padel Patrol 10–6. ________________________________________ 🔴 SOUTHERN CONFERENCE 🧨 WRC 4 vs U-PRO INVITATIONAL Prediction: U-Pro Invitational 16–0 If WRC 4 had dreams of a big home crowd giving them an advantage... Those dreams may be ending rather abruptly this week. 😂

They've got one of the biggest tasks in the league coming to town. U-Pro Invitational.

WRC 4's biggest hope is probably Anria & Marlize, who have been responsible for both of WRC 4's wins this season.

Unfortunately, standing across the net are Marna & Marlie. And we've already seen what happens when U-Pro's Ladies Open pairing gets going.

Then there's the Men's Open. Jacques & Egmond Jnr. At this point, we've stopped asking which Jacques is turning up. Apparently it's the Jacques who has decided that everyone needs to eat donuts. 🍩

U-Pro Invitational 16–0. ________________________________________ 🎯 TAYFIN vs PADEL PARQ KIMIAD A Prediction: Padel Parq Kimiad A 11–5 This is a big one for Padel Parq A. Because so far...

They've only won ONE set this entire season!!

That's not exactly the record we had in mind when we put them on our preseason Top 5 list. 😬 But perhaps this is where the turnaround begins.

Their Men's Open pairing of Mark & Stuart Herbst is always capable of making things interesting, and this fixture gives the team a chance to finally get some momentum. Sometimes you don't need a miracle. You just need one good night to get the wheels turning.

We're backing Padel Parq A 11–5. ________________________________________ 🔥 PROACTIVE WINGATE vs BANTER BANDITS Prediction: Proactive Wingate 11–5 Why have we not talked about Banter Bandits enough? Honestly... That's on us.

They were never really in our preseason Top 5 conversation, but with Luca & Eddie running around in Men's Open, perhaps we should have been paying much more attention. Especially after what they did last week. No handicap. No complaints. Just straight onto the court and a 6–1, 6–3, 6–4 win. Now they face a completely different beast. Egmondt & Wynand.

And then there is Proactive's Ladies pairing. Marie & Daleen. Their ratings may suggest they're fairly ordinary at around 2.3. Their actual record suggests otherwise... They haven't lost a game all season. That's the sort of statistic that makes ratings look rather silly.

Banter Bandits will absolutely have a chance to make this interesting, but we're backing the overall strength of Proactive.
