8/9 predictions correct. We are getting good at this! 🎯🔥

The only team that really caught us sleeping was Tayfin, who pulled out a draw against Kimiad A. But here's the interesting part: we called two upsets, and nailed both of them.

Tenrounds over Padel Parq B ✅ Padel Patrol over WRC 2 ✅

So let's get into the Eastern Conference, where Week 4 delivered one absolute marathon, MK continuing to cruise, and a seven-donut demolition job. 🍩

🎾 PADEL PARQ B vs TENROUNDS Tenrounds win 13–3

We knew this one was going to be close. What we didn't know was that it was going to take 2 hours and 15 minutes to settle the Ladies match. 😂

👩 Ladies Open: WHAT. A. MATCH? Lee & Padel Parq's replacement player vs Marijke & Elsa was exactly the kind of match we were hoping for. It started with Padel Parq taking the first set 7–6. Tenrounds fought straight back with another 7–6, and then came the decider. With what looked like the biggest crowd Olympus has ever seen packed around the court, Padel Parq finally broke through and took the third 6–4.

2 hours and 15 minutes.

Luckily there were no bookings immediately afterwards. 😂 That wasn't a match. That was a Netflix series.

👨 Men's Open: Mr Unorthodox meets the people who know him too well We expected Charl "Mr Unorthodox" to cause problems. The Net has clearly taken his game to another level, and we were expecting all sorts of weird angles, tricks and general Charl-ness.

But then he had to face a Tenrounds pairing who have probably seen every single one of those tricks approximately 400 times. And it showed. Tenrounds took Men's Open 6–3, 6–4, 6–4.

Was it because Kean simply wasn't used to playing under a roof? 👀 The match was at Olympus, while Padel Parq normally plays without a roof. Maybe indoor padel just threw Kean's compass off slightly. 😂 We'll leave that one for Kean to explain.

👶 Louis steps in and delivers With Gideon unavailable, Louis stepped in for Tenrounds alongside Francois. And boy, did he deliver. The replacement pairing of Louis & Francois got the job done with a 6–4, 6–1, 6–3 win. Not a bad way to introduce yourself to the Week 4 spotlight. "Just filling in" apparently means "I'll take the win while I'm here." 😂

Overall: Tenrounds 13–3 Padel Parq B A big win for Tenrounds, but the Ladies match alone deserves its own trophy. 🏆

🟢 MK PADEL vs KOP RIETONDALE 2 MK Padel win 14–2

At this point, we're running out of ways to say: MK are cruising. Another week. Another big win. Another team wondering why they agreed to play MK. 😂 But KOP2 deserve credit because they managed to take a set in both Men's Beginner and Men's Intermediate.

Lourens & Ethan took the first set 6–3 before MK fought back to win the next two. And then George & Benjamin managed to steal a set in Intermediate as well. We were hoping George would deploy his famous "talk them out of the match" strategy and cause an upset. Unfortunately, it seems MK arrived wearing noise-cancelling earbuds. 😂 They still managed to take the third set 6–2, but MK had already done enough to secure the category.

We were also hoping Adelle & Bianca would continue their fantastic form and give KOP2 another category win. MK had other plans, with Bianca Wiggill & Wendy Odendaal taking Ladies Open 6–3, 6–4, 6–2.

⛽ FULL TANK. EMPTY OPPONENT. MK's 14–2 wasn't just a win. It was another reminder that this team seems to have found the Texan fuel pump.

Full tank. No warning light. ⛽😂 At this rate, someone might want to check whether Texan Petroleum has already started calculating their prize-money payout.

Overall: MK Padel 14–2 KOP Rietondale 2 KOP2 may have taken a beating, but they're still showing enough to suggest they aren't going anywhere.

🍩 WRC 3 vs THRASHERS Thrashers 16–0 There are beatings. There are big beatings. And then there is whatever happened here.

SEVEN. DONUTS.

That's right. Seven!! Not half a dozen. More than half a dozen donuts. 🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩 Thrashers basically arrived at the court, opened a bakery and started handing them out.

👶 Dylan & Matthew: STILL UNBEATEN We have to give this pair some serious credit. Dylan & Matthew have still not lost a game this entire season. They were up against Nico, who stepped in for Cesare, alongside Jaco. Nico and Jaco put up a good fight, but Dylan & Matthew continued their ridiculous run with another dominant performance. At this stage, they're looking like one of the top three Beginner pairings in the league.

👩 Carmen & Marie-Louise: another monster performance Carmen Hargroves & Marie-Louise Kleynhans continue to look like one of the best Ladies pairings in SAPL. Charice & Yolandi actually gave them something to think about in the opening set, getting three games on the board.

Then Thrashers basically said: "Okay, enough of that." 6–3, 6–0, 6–0. Two more donuts for the factory. 🍩🍩

👨 Kevin & Kyle doing their bit And we can't leave out Kevin & Kyle in Intermediate. Another strong performance from the Thrashers pairing helped keep the pressure on across the entire fixture. This is what makes the Thrashers performance so impressive. It wasn't one pairing carrying the team.

Carmen & Marie-Louise. Dylan & Matthew. Kevin & Kyle. And then...

👨 Andreas & Dino... didn't even have to play We get to Andreas & Dino. They didn't lose. They didn't win. They didn't even have to sweat.

WRC 3 called off the match and handed them the forfeit. 😂 We're not saying WRC 3 knew what was coming... But we're also not saying they didn't. Perhaps somebody looked at Andreas & Dino, looked at the Donut Factory numbers and quietly decided: "You know what? Let's just take the zero." 😂 Four team points straight into the Thrashers column without a ball being hit.

⛽ TEXAN TANK: FULL Seven donuts. 16–0.

At this point, we're not sure whether Thrashers came to play padel or whether somebody accidentally filled the tank with rocket fuel. Texan Petroleum may as well just pay the prize money now. 😂💰 There doesn't seem to be much point making these guys wait until the end of the season.

🍩 SEVEN DONUTS LATER... Thrashers didn't just win the fixture. They produced seven donuts across the four categories. And that is becoming ridiculous.

They're now producing donuts across multiple categories rather than relying on one dominant pairing, which is exactly what makes this Thrashers team so dangerous. Carmen & Marie-Louise. Dylan & Matthew. Kevin & Kyle. Andreas & Dino. The bakery has clearly got several departments. 🍩

And with Dino back for the Men's Open, the full-strength Thrashers machine is starting to look seriously dangerous.

🔥 EASTERN CONFERENCE TAKEAWAYS 🎾 Tenrounds called their upset and delivered, with a huge Ladies battle and Mr Unorthodox discovering that perhaps indoor padel is not his natural habitat. ⛽ MK Padel continue to cruise, winning 14–2 with what appears to be a very healthy fuel gauge. 🍩 Thrashers went completely nuclear, winning 16–0 and producing SEVEN DONUTS.

And then there was that Ladies match at Olympus. 7–6. 6–7. 6–4. 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Forget SAPL. Someone get Netflix on the phone. 🎾😂
